Syringophilopsis turdus ( Fritsch, 1958)
This species was originally described from Turdus pilaris from Germany ( Fritsch 1958). Later on, it was recorded from the type host from Poland ( Skoracki 2004b), Turdus philomelos Brehm from Poland ( Skoracki 2004b), Turdus albicollis Vieillot from Argentina ( Skoracki & Sikora 2002), and Turdus migratorius from the USA ( Skoracki et al. 2008). In Kazakhstan, this species was recorded from Turdus atrogularis .
Material examined. 9 females and 1 male from Turdus atrogularis Jarocki ( Passeriformes : Turdidae ) ( AVB 07-0110-007) (new host); KAZAKHSTAN: Ongtustik Qazaqstan, Chockpak Ornithological Station, 1134 m, 42°30'45.2''N, 70°35'46.2''E, 1 October 2007, coll. A. Bochkov.
