Distribution. A. amoenella until recently was found very locally in C Europe. During the last two decades it has turned up in a number of European countries, first in Sweden and Finland, and then in S Ural. Recently it was found for the first time in Greece (Junnilainen & Karsholt, unpublished) and also from Turkey (K. Nupponen, Junnilainen & Karsholt, unpublished). Also in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan ( Bidzilya 2005b).
