Distribution. E Europe: Moldova, Ukraine and Russia (S Ural). Outside Europe known from S Siberia (Altai, Tuva and Tomsk oblast) ( Bidzilya 2002c).
Remarks. The species has been misidentified as N. caucasiella until recently. The external appearance of the adult is illustrated here for the first time.
