infestans Klug, 1834: 412 ; Reduvius

Current status: Triatoma infestans ( Klug, 1834) ; combination proposed by Neiva (1911d: 462).

Remarks. Neiva (1914: 46) and Lent &Wygodzinsky (1979: 248) indicated that type of T. infestans should have be in the “Zoologisches Museum”, Berlin, but we did not find it. Klug (1834) described this species in a footnote and did not give any information about the labels of the specimen(s).
