Etymology. THE NAME IS A REfERENcE TO THE MANGROVE Of THE GENUS Rhizophora ( RHIZOPHORAcEAE ) WHERE THE SPEcIMENS Of THE NEW SPEcIES WERE cOLLEcTED.
Distribution and habitat. THE SPEcIMENS WERE cOLLEcTED IN MANGROVE RIO PARAíBA DO NORTE, PARAíBA, BRAZIL (06°57'07°02S/34°50'3455W). GOOD’S BIOGEOGRAPHIc ZONE 27 ( GOOD 1974; CULIK & ZEPPELINI 2003).
Remarks. D. rhizophorae sp. nov. DIffERS fROM D. maesorum , D. diomedesi , AND D. colombiana IN THE SENSILLA SHAPE ON TIBIOTARSUS I, WHIcH IS RHAGIDIAL TYPE SIMILAR TO THAT Of D. ramosa . NEVERTHELESS D. ramosa PRESENTS 8+8 EYES AND THE NEW SPEcIES HAS ONLY 6+6 EYES. ONLY Denisiella rhizophorae sp. nov. AND D. serroseta LAcK INNER TOOTH ON UNGUIS III. IN ADDITION, THEY cAN ALSO BE REcOGNIZED fROM EAcH OTHER BY THE PRESENcE Of fOUR cOARSELY SERRATED SPINES ON TITA. III IN D. rhizophorae sp. nov., WHIcH ARE ABSENT IN D. serroseta ( TABLE 1).
