Collyria Schiødte, 1839: 1 View in CoL –27. Type species: Bassus calcitrator Gravenhorst, 1807 . (Pachymerus) Gravenhorst, 1829:721.
Collyria pronotalis Yurtcan & Kolarov sp. n.
Material examined. Holotype. Female, Turkey, Malatya, Battalgazi (1), 10.06.2008, (38° 27' 50'' N; 38° 25' 14'' E), leg. M. Yurtcan, in collection of Trakya University, Edirne– Turkey; Allotype: 1 male, Turkey, Kadınhanı, 5 km from Konya road (2), 0 1.06.2002, leg. H. H. Başıbüyük, in collection of Trakya University ( Figs 1, 2); Paratypes; 1 female, Turkey, Kadınhanı, 5 km from Konya road (2), 0 1.06.2002, leg. H. H. Başıbüyük, in collection of Plovdiv University; 1 male, Turkey, Zara (3), 31.05.2007, (39° 52' 46" N; 37° 42' 04" E), leg. A. Beyarslan, in collection of Plovdiv University.
Description. Female: Colour: Black; flagellum from below, two spots on upper lateral angles of face in female, front surface of front femur, front tibia and tarsus, middle and hind tibia basally and I–III sternites yellow, in female I–III terga yellow, IV–VII terga dark.
Head: Almost parallel sides, not narrowed behind ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 A, 4A). Frons weakly concave, punctured and striated transversally. Antenna 3.0– 3.5 mm long. Flagellum with 19–20 segments. Postannellus 3.2 × as long as wide, the flagellomere before the last one 1.2 × as long as wide. Eyes covered with sparse and moderately long hairs. Distance between hind ocellus and compound eyes 1.3 × as long as ocellus diameter. Face 1.35 × as wide as high in middle ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 B, 4B), densely punctured and distinctly convex in upper middle part. Clypeus almost flat, weakly separated from the face, with small tubercle in apical middle part. Malar space 0.4 × as long as basal width of mandible.
Mesosoma: 2.2 × as long as high. Upper frontolateral part of pronotum distinctly swollen and visible from above view ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 C, 4C). Notaulus short, reaching 1/3 of mesonotum length. Scutellum without tubercle in apical part. Subtegular ridge high, twisted apically. Lateral parts of prepectal carina reaching front ridge of mesopleurum in its middle. Mesosternal ridge with transversal wrinkles. Fore wing 4.1–5.2 mm, with 2m –cu vein slightly inclivous and with 2 bullae. First radial vein originated from basal half of pterostigma ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 D, 4D). Vein 1m –cu with very short ramellus, nervulus antefurcal. Hind wing with strongly reclivous nervellus, its interception in upper 0.25, discoidella distinct. Hind coxa 2.3 × as long as wide laterally, hind femur 3.1 × as long as wide. Hind tibia 8.2 × as long as wide apically, its spurs shorter than apical width of the tibia. Length ratios of hind tarsal segments as 43:22:15:12:24. Middle and lateral longitudinal carinae of propodeum parallel. Propodeal spiracle small, circular, at equal distance to lateral and pleural carina. Mesosoma densely and rather coarsely punctured.
Metasoma: Slender, first segment 3.7 × as long as wide apically, its spiracle at basal 0.4 of the tergum length. Second tergum 1.7 × as long as wide. Third tergum 1.5 × as long as wide. Ovipositor sheath 0.78 × as long as hind tibia, widened apically ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 E–F, 4E–F). Ovipositor weakly curved downward, gradually tapered to the apex and compressed laterally ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 E, 4E).
Male: Postannellus 3.75 × as long as wide, ramellus not distinct, terga I–V elongate, in male I–III terga red brown, IV–VII terga with narrow yellowish bands, without yellow marks at the face; only III metasomal tergum red brown colored.
Comments. Collyria pronotalis sp. n. has a swollen upper frontolateral part of pronotum similar to that of Collyria isparta Gürbüz & Kolarov , but differs from it by its scutellum without an apical tubercle, inclivous 2m –cu vein in fore wing, smaller length/width ratio of hind coxa and tibia, smaller first metasomal segment, larger or smaller ratio of length of hind tarsomeres, larger or smaller ratio of lengths of ovipositor sheath to hind tibia, and by presence of two spots on upper lateral angles of face in female, yellow front femur, tibia and tarsus, basally yellow middle and hind tibia, yellow I–III tergites.
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the distinctly swollen shape of the pronotum.
