Only one Tomicus species is known in Iran ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ).
Large, 3.0−5.0 mm long. Antennal funicle 6-segmented. Antennal club 4-segmented. Lateral sides of the pronotum without granules. Pinus hosts…................................................................ Tomicus destruens (Wollaston)
Palaearctic distribution: Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, Albania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Madeira archipelago, Cyprus, Israel, Turkey ( Knížek 2011), Iran ( Beaver et al. 2016).
Iran distribution: Golestan ( Samin et al. 2011).
Host plants in Iran: Pinus pinaster ( Pfeffer 1995) .
