Sylvenomyia View in CoL —Mamaev & Zaitzev 1998: 21. Type species, sueciae Mamaev & Zaitzev [= spinigera Spungis], by original designation.— Penttinen & Jaschhof 2009: 49 (review, new species); Jaschhof & Jaschhof 2013: 61 (review).
The genus Sylvenomyia View in CoL , which contains two European species, is distinguished from other Diallactiini View in CoL by the wing venation and male genitalic structures ( Penttinen & Jaschhof 2009: figs 1, 2B–D). The genus was recently reviewed by Jaschhof & Jaschhof (2013). Larvae of Sylvenomyia View in CoL are unknown.
