Maruina Hogue, 1973: 1 View in CoL . Type species: Maruina pilosella Müller View in CoL , by subsequent designation ( Enderlein, 1936); Bravo, 2004: 1 (Diagnosis).
Diagnosis. Combination of the following characters: distance between eyes equivalent to 7 facet diameters or more ( Figs. 24 View FIGURE 24–28 , 34 View FIGURE 34–35 ); wing with break on base of C, on the level of base of R 1 ( Figs. 26 View FIGURE 24–28 , 35 View FIGURE 34–35 ); R 2 united to R 4 and R 5, R 3 separated, M 1 united to M 3 ( Figs. 26 View FIGURE 24–28 , 35 View FIGURE 34–35 ); female hypogynium with internal lateral bristles projecting medially from small and distinct lateral lobulae ( Figs. 27–28 View FIGURE 24–28 ).
