Diagnosis: A Cypridea species closely related to C. dromedarius n. sp. with the following peculiarities: carapace more extended than in C. dromedarius n. sp., posterior margin more strongly pulled down, the fold-like thickness on the dorsum of the left valve (dorsal callus) only weakly developed. Rostrum quite large, broad, more or less truncated, rostral groove and rostral sulcus more clearly developed than in C. dromedarius n. sp. Length:Height relationship (L/H index) in the holotype approximately 1.5:1.
Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 4181.
Paratypes: 3 carapaces under SMF Xe 4182 .
Dimensions: Holotype, length 1.15mm, height 0.79mm.
