1971 Theriosynoecum ventralatum n. sp. —Krömmelbein & Weber, p. 61–62, pl. 11, figs 52–53.

Diagnosis: A new species of Theriosynoecum with the following peculiarities: carapace approximately irregular trapeziform in lateral outline. The posterior ventral margin is accompanied by a thick fold-like valve-swelling which extends beyond the actual valve margins and forms a broad ventral surface. Shell surface with comparatively weak, net-like fine sculpture.

Holotype: Carapace ♀, BfB 7829.

Paratype: Carapace ♂, BfB 7830.

Dimensions: ♀ Holotype, length 0.90mm, height 0.56mm, width 0.68mm.

Dimensions: ♂ Paratype, length 0.90mm, height 0.55mm, width 0.55mm.
