Linkia Piza, 1967 syn. nov. of Microcentrum Scudder, 1862
Carnavalia Koçak & Kemal, 2008 syn. nov. of Microcentrum Scudder, 1862
Piza compared his new genus to Symmachis Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878, a genus with three species from Australia. However, the female holotype of Linkia linki from southern Brazil presents characters that are diagnostic for the genus Microcentrum . This makes Linkia , a preoccupied name, along with the curious substitute name Carnavalia (with reference to the famous carnival of M. linki ’s home country), synonyms of Microcentrum .
