Paraviadana Piza, 1980 syn. nov. of Viadana Walker, 1869
According to the original description male holotype differs from Viadana by cerci with a preapical tooth and a truncate subgenital plate with two strong spiniform teeth. However, fairly similar subgenital plates have the males of V. multiramosa and V. zetterstedti , and there is a considerable morphological diversity of male cerci in the genus, including multi-toothed tips (V. f e s t a e, V. inversa ) and pre-apical processes ( V. zetterstedti ).
