Described on page 204 as:
24. Aedes sabdiversus n. sp.
Sie gleicht Aedes diversus , doch ist der Basallappen an den Hypopygien der Mannchen kiirzer ... (It is similar to Atxies diversus , but the basal lobe (= basal dorsomesallobe) of the hypopygium in males is shorter ...).
Sub is used either in the sense of the new species being close to Aedes diversus Theobald [a synonym of Aedes rusticus (Rossi) (Knight & Stone, 1977) ] or to depict that the species has a character that is smaller / shorter than that of the compared species.
