Description. Head with reddish-brown integument. Sides of frons divergent downward; covered by yellowishwhite pubescence. Vertex covered by brownish pubescence; occiput and perimeter of the eyes with narrow band of yellowish pubescence. Upper ocular lobes subcontiguous with 8 rows of ommatidia. Lower ocular lobes almost completely occupy the sides of the head. Genae with yellowish pubescence. Scape brown and as long as antennomere III; antennomeres III and IV reddish-brown. Antennae broken in the tip of antennomere V.

Prothorax with brown-reddish integument. Pronotum with three longitudinal bands of yellowish pubescence: one central and one on each side; punctation deep and moderately dense. Protorax sides without gibbosities, with one band of yellowish pubescence, wider than the pronotal bands. Scutellum with sparse yellowish pubescence.

Elytra with pubescence whitish on anterior half and brownish on posterior half; each one, with spots of yellowish pubescence: (1) on anterior sixth, dorsal, very small, which extends posteriorly, by a narrow line from the middle of the elytron to the apex where it widens, forming ante-apical spot close to the suture; (2) elongate, between spot (1) and a lateral declivity; (3) on the anterior third, in the lateral declivity, parallel to (2); (4) beyond the middle, dorsal, rounded, extending posteriorly by a narrow line; (5) after the middle, in the lateral declivity, with irregular shape; (6) in the apical fourth, line in the alignment of the spot (5). band of sparse whitish pubescence between spots (2) and (3). Under the humeri, triangular spots, of yellowish pubescence. Anterior third with rows of punctures. Elytral apices obliquely truncate.

Femora with reddish-brown integument. Tibiae reddish with darkened apex. Metatarsomere V as long as I-III together.

Ventral surface with whitish pubescence; pubescence yellowish yellowish or whitish: mesepimera small spots in the metepisterna; longitudinal band on sides of the metasternum; and oblique band on the posterior part of the metasternum. Urosternites with yellowish pubescence.

Measurements, in mm. Total length, 8.8; prothorax length, 1.7; prothorax width, 1.9; elytron length, 6.3; humeral width, 2.6.

Etymology. Latin, maculosa = spotted; referring to spots of pubescence of elytra.

Type-material. Holotype female, COLOMBIA, Santander: Rio Opon (6º57'45'' N, 73º54'33''), 14.XII.1945, L. Richter col. (AMNH).
