Syntype: 1 (slide) Canada. Manitoba, Churchill, 486, [18–26.viii.] 1948, [on tussocks in tundra partly grown with heath vegetation], M. Hammer (CNC 165113, Type No.18198). Listed as a junior synonym of Folsomia nivalis (Packard, 1873: 31) by Scott (1961: 265).
