Sifted from the mixed leaf litter of a broad-leaved forest. Southewest China (Yunnan).

Etymology

The specific name indicates that it is a common species.

Remarks

Sathytes usitatus has single basal protuberance on antennomere XI. This species is similar to S. larinus by sharing the broad antennomere XI. It may be best separated by the basal protuberance of antennomere XI being longer, the apophysis of antennomere IX being longer and more slender and located anterior to the middle, and less broad aedeagus.
