Habitat and distribution
Sifted from the leaf litter of a mixed coniferous broad leaved forest. East China (Fujian).
Etymology
The specific epithet refers to the broad aedeagus.
Remarks
The new species is placed near those having the antennomeres XI with single basal protuberance. Sathytes larinus may be separated by the vertexal foveae located at the level of the posterior margin of the eyes, coupled with the short apophysis of the
antennomeres IX located near middle, which has blunt apices, and the broad form of the aedeagus.
