Dielis dorsata Fabricius, 1787

Female. Body length 16.6 mm (range 14.8 mm – 20.9 mm); forewing length 12.4 mm; Structure. Clypeus dull with scattered punctures on upper margin, lower margin striated, middle striae tend to be stronger; interantennal area densely punctured; frons with sparse punctures; vertex and gena smooth with few punctures; pronotum densely punctured; dorsal surface or mesosoma with sparse and coarse punctures; coarse and close punctures on dorsal face of propodeum, posterior face of propodeum impunctate, with scattered punctures on the lateral and upper margins; hind tibial spurs spatulate. Color. Setae white; body black; ferruginous maculation on T2–T3; apical and subapical setae on T2–T4 ferruginous, those on T5–T6 black; wings dark with slight violaceous reflections ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 ).

Male. Body length 16.2 mm (range 13.2 mm – 19.2 mm); forewing length 12.8 mm; Structure. Clypeus margins punctate; interantennal area and frons coarsely punctate; vertex and gena with some punctures; dorsal surface of mesosoma shiny, with shallow punctures, those on the dorsal face of propodeum closer than the rest of mesosoma; meso and metapleuron covered with short appressed hairs clearly distinguished from the long erect setae; fore wings hairy along the anterior margin; posterior face of propodeum scattered punctured. Genitalia ( Fig. 42D View FIGURE 42 ). Parameres curved inward, somehow elongated and subtruncate toward the apex, ventral face polished; volsellae with long sparse setae. Color. Setae pale yellow on head and dorsal surface of mesosoma and metasoma, those on apical terga (T5–T7) and sterna (S5–S7) black; setae on ventral side of mesosoma and metasoma white; two subtriangular yellow spots on lateral margins of clypeus; yellow spots on lateral margins of pronotum connected by a stripe thus forming a continuous bar along its frontal face; yellow maculations on scutellum, metanotum, dorsal face of fore tibiae; yellow bands on lower half of T1–T5 (that on T5 can feeble and reduced to spots), and apical margin of S2–S4 (that on S4 can be feeble or reduced to spots); wings hyaline ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 ).
