Cells are Gram-staining-negative, flagellated, and oval shaped. Colonies are cream color, circular, and convex after incubation on R2 A at 30℃ for 2 days under aerobic conditions. Strain is positive for nitrate reduction, arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, cytochrome oxidase, and utilization of glucose, arabinose, mannose, N- acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid; but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, urease, esculin hydrolysis, β-galactosidase, and utilization of mannitol, maltose, and adipic acid in API 20NE. Strain KA-176 (= NIBRBAC000500996) was isolated from soil from Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea .
