Comments. This recently described monotypic genus was reported for Peru, Loreto, Ampiyacu, near the Amazon department of Colombia. Recently, Gorochov (2019) mentions that Perugryllus , could belong to the subtribe Brachytrupina , and also with Gryllita Hebard, 1935 , Kazuemba Mello, 1990 , Rubrogryllus Vickery, 1997 , Faguagryllus Cadena-Castañeda, 2011 and Laureopsis Jaiswara, 2017 could be synonyms of Miogryllus Saussure, 1877 and Geogryllus Otte & Perez-Gelabert, 2009 or belong to their subgenera. The second species is described below for Perugryllus , and is reported for the first time for Colombia.
