Diagnosis. Differing from T. caribe n. sp., T. garciamarquezi n. sp., and T. huitota n. sp., in the shape of the IX sternum ( Fig. 303 View FIGURES 299 – 304 ).

Color (in 80% ethanol). Body brown, with pale and dark brown spots. Compound eyes dark brown; ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Head pattern ( Fig. 301 View FIGURES 299 – 304 ). Antennae pale brown, scape dark brown. Maxillary palps brown, Mx4 dark brown. Tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax brown. Thoracic pleura brown, with cream spots. Coxae and trochanters cream, femora, tibiae and tarsi brown, coxae with proximal and distal brown spots; fore- and mid femora with three pale brown spots (proximal, middle and distal), hind femora with four brown spots. Wings as in males, abdomen cream, with subcuticular brown spots. Subgenital plate with pigmented areas dark brown ( Fig. 302 View FIGURES 299 – 304 ). Clunium and gonapophyses brown. IX sternum pale brown. Epiproct and paraprocts pale brown.

Morphology. Head ( Fig. 301 View FIGURES 299 – 304 ): H/MxW: 1.55, H/D: 2.73, IO/MxW: 0.68, MxW/IO: 2.14. Vertex slightly above the level of the compound eyes. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with three broad denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.33. Wings and legs as in the male. Forewings ( Fig. 299 View FIGURES 299 – 304 ): L/W: 2.49. Pterostigma: lp/wp: 3.82, with abundant setae; areola postica: la/ha: 1.88. Cu1a concave. Hindwings ( Fig. 300 View FIGURES 299 – 304 ): l/w: 2.72. Subgenital plate broad, with rounded posterior margin, densely setose. Gonapophyses ( Fig. 303 View FIGURES 299 – 304 ): v1 elongate, narrow, acuminate; v2 +3 proximally wider, with short heel; a row of seven macrosetae on v2; distal process sinuous, acuminate, with microsetae. IX sternum ( Fig. 303 View FIGURES 299 – 304 ), broadly trapeziform, concave anteriorly, straight posteriorly. Paraprocts broad, oval ( Fig. 304 View FIGURES 299 – 304 ), with a macrosetae near each sensory field, these with 23 trichobothria on basal rosettes, setae as illustrated. Epiproct ( Fig. 304 View FIGURES 299 – 304 ) broadly triangular, with widely rounded apex, almost as long as wide at its base, with three macrosetae antero-mesally, other setae as illustrated.

Comments. This species was described on basis of two males. It was only known from the Waorani Ethnic Reserve, in Napo, Ecuador.
