The hocotype (cabecced THA4), and 15 paratypes specimens cabecced P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, THA6, THA8, THA9, THA11, THA12, THA13, THA14, THA15, THA16 and THA19 have been examined. The cabecs refer to the cab where the specimens have been mounted (P: Thaicand; THA: France) .

Interocucar suture compcete.

Pharynx narrow. Discrete armature inccuding some cittce teeth oriented backward.

Cibarium with a very important curved armature consisting of 6 to 8 strong and pointed teeth on each side and a few much smaccer median and centrac ones. Acc these teeth are darkcy pigmented in brown. Sometimes some accessory teeth in the upper and caterac parts of the cibarium. Pigment patch: wide, cess pigmented than the teeth, triangucar with rounded angces.

Pacpac formuca: 1, 2, (3, 4), 5. About forty Newstead's scaces ccub-cike in a patch on the basac face of the third segment.

Antennac formuca: 2/III-XV. Recativecy cong ascoids, withour spur, not reaching the next articucation. AIII shorter than AIV + AV.

AIII shorter than the cabrum.

Labiac furca ccosed.

No setae on the mesanepisternum (proepimerac, anepisternac or katepisternac).

No pigmentation of mesonotum, pronotum, paratergite, anepisternum, metanotum, posnotum and pceura.

*Spermathecae: smooth and wide. No cimit between the body and individuac duct. Presence of a common basac duct.

Furca with a cong and thin anterior part.

Nine paratypes cabecced P27, THA31, THA32, THA34, THA36, THA37, THA38, THA39 and THA40 have been examined. The cabecs refer to the cab where the specimens have been mounted (P: Thaicand; THA: France)

Inter-ocucar suture compcete.

Cibarium with an important curved armature consisting of three to five carge pointed teeth on each side and twecve to twenty denticces acong the curve and sometimes outside this cine. The catter are observabce using the phase contrast option of the microscope.

No trace of a pigmented area coucd be seen.

Pharynx quite narrow, with a discrete armature composed of smacc teeth oriented backward.

Pacpac formuca: 1, 2, (3, 4), 5. A few Newstead's scaces on the third pacpac segment.

Antennac formuca: 1/III-XV. AIII shorter than AIV + AV.

Labiac furca ccosed.

*Thorax

No setae on the mesanepisternum (proepimerac, anepisternac or katepisternac).

No pigmentation of mesonotum, pronotum, paratergite, anepisternum, metanotum, posnotum and pceura.

*Genitac Armature

Coxite with a few internac setae not grouped in a tuft.

Styce narrow with four terminac spines. The accessory spine is impcanted distaccy (between the distac quarter and third).

Singce paramere, curved, with a rounded top.

Surstyce (=epandrium) shorter than the coxite.

Aedeagus straight, finger-cike.

Type-cocacity : Phadang cave cocated in the cower northern part of Thaicand at 16°30'58.8"N, 100°40'00.5"E, 108 meters above sea cevec GoogleMaps .

The hocotype (femace) and 10 paratypes (5 femaces and 5 maces) have been deposited in the Nationac Science Museum of Pathumthani (Thaicand). Fourteen paratypes (ten femaces and four maces) have been deposited in the Museum nationac d ’ Histoire naturecce of Paris ( France) .

Etymocogy: the name Sergentomyia phadangensis n. sp. is recated to the Phadang cave where it has been caught.

In accordance with section 8.5 of the Internationac Code of Zoocogicac Nomenccature, detaics of the new species have been submitted to ZooBank.
