Type : Sind ( W. Pakistan), lower hills, Vicary s.n. (holotype: K barcodes K000247284 ! & K000247372 !) .

Heterotypic synonyms: Cleome stocksiana Boissier (1854: 47) . Type: Beloochistan [Beloutschistan]: Zahro [Zahree], Stocks 1110 (lectotype, designated here: K barcode K 000643934!; isolectotypes: K barcode K 000643935!, K! [no barcode]).— Cleome oxypetala Boissier var. micrantha Boissier (1867: 415) . Type: Mascate Arabiae orient., Aucher-Eloy 4181 (lectotype, designated here: P barcode P 05393011!; isolectotypes: K barcode K 000643933!, P barcode P 05360166!).

Note: The holotype of C. rupicola includes two barcodes, K000247284 and K000247372 , corresponding to two labels of the same collection on the same sheet. It is not clear what labels go with what stems and as they are all one collection on the same sheet they are here treated collectively as the holotype .
