Alexander, 1969: 372–373 (original description); 369, figure 35 (wing). Type locality: Panama, Chiriqui,Volcan. Paratypes. 4 males with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Panama | Volcan | V- 22. 54 [1954] | Field”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on blue paper: “ PARATYPE S | Cryptolabis | pallidivena | C. P. Alexander”. Preservation: all specimens mounted at the tips of paper triangles pinned together; all specimens intact with undissected terminalia.
