Erioptera (Mesocyphona) triangularis Alexander, 1945 View in CoL
Alexander, 1945b: 35–37 (original description); 43, figure 13 (male terminalia). Type locality: Brazil, São Paulo, São Paulo (Serra da Cantareira).
Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil - | S. Paulo | S. Cantareira | 900m. | Dec. 1940 [December, 1940] | Travassos”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ HOLOTYPE ♂ | Erioptera | triangularis | C. P. Alexander”.
Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle; one undetermined wing detached and glued on the paper triangle; part of abdomen with terminalia mounted on a plastic slide pinned with the specimen; pinned together with another specimen identified by C. P. Alexander as Erioptera fuscirena Alexander. Missing parts: head, one undetermined wing and all legs. Additional note: the original description indicates as collectors “Guimarães & Travassos”. This differs from the specimen label which indicates only “Travassos” as the collector.
