Alexander, 1945a: 263–264 (original description); 281, figure 9 (wing). Type locality: Brazil, São Paulo, São Paulo (Serra da Cantareira).
Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | Sao Paulo | S. Cantareira | 900m; XII - 40 [December, 1940] | Travassos”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ HOLOTYPE ♂ | Orimarga | chionomera | C. P. Alexander”.
Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle. Missing parts: left wing, all legs and abdomen.
Allotype female with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | São Paulo | S. Cantareira | 900m. | Dec. 1940 [December, 1940] | Travassos”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ALLOTYPE Ψ | Orimarga | chionomera | C. P. Alexander”.
Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle. Missing parts: right middle leg and right hind leg. Additional note: the original description indicates as collectors “Guimarães & Travassos”. This differs from the specimen label which indicates only “Travassos” as the collector.
Paratypes: 2 females with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | S. Paulo | S. Cantareira | 900m. | Dec. 1940 [December, 1940] | Travassos”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on blue paper: “ PARATYPE S | Orimarga | chionomera | C. P. Alexander”.
Preservation: all specimens mounted at the tips of paper triangles pinned together; all specimens intact with undissected terminalia.
