This is the second largest tribe, with 18 genera and about 192 species worldwide (Schuh, 1995). Its members are characterized by an elongate, slender body form; uniformly slender tarsi; a distinct, narrow pronotal collar; impunctate pronotum; a well-developed to reduced ostiolar auricle; and two closed cells on the wing membrane. Four genera and 10 species are known to occur in Minas Gerais.
