Type host: Stachyris pyrrhops Blyth ( Passeriformes : Timaliidae ). Type locality: Nepal.
FEMALE (3 paratypes). Total body length 765–895. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum densely punctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 4 chambers, each lateral branch with 14–15 chambers. Stylophore sparsely punctate, 200–220 long. Movable cheliceral digit 160 long. Podomers of palps punctate. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield concave on anterior margin, punctate laterally. Setae ve and si subequal in length, both 1.6 times longer than vi. Hysteronotal shield small, apunctate and weakly sclerotized, not fused to pygidial shield. Pygidial shield well sclerotized, punctate posteriorly. Length ratios of setae ag3: f2 1:1; ag1: ag2 1:1; ag2: g1 3.7–4.8. Pseudanal setae ps1 and ps2 subequal in length. Genital plate bearing only genital setae g1 and g2. Coxal fields I–IV densely punctate. Setae 3c 2.3 times longer than 3b. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” with 9 tines. Setae tc”III–IV 1.4 times longer than tc’III–IV. Some of podomers of legs I punctate on ventral side. Lengths of setae: vi 50, ve 80, si 85, se 290–315, c1 260–315, c2 300, d1 205, d2 245, e2 205, f1 55–60, f2 245, h1 40–45, h2 395, ps1 and ps2 25–30, g1 and g2 35–45, ag1 170– 200, ag2 170–175, ag3 200–245, 3b 40, 3c 90, tc’III–IV 40–45, tc”III–IV 55–65, l’RIII 35–40, l’RIV 30–35.
MALE (1 paratype). Total body length 535. Gnathosoma . Hypostomal apex with pair of small and blunt-ended protuberances. Length of stylophore and movable cheliceral digit 180 and 160 respectively. Infracapitulum sparsely punctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 4 chambers, each lateral branch with 14 chambers. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield sparsely punctate near bases of setae si. Setae ve and si subequal in length, both 1.8 times longer than vi. Hysteronotal shield fused to pygidial shield, margins indiscernible. Setae d2 1.8 times longer than d1 and e2. Setae h2 5.4 times longer than f2. Genital setae g1 situated anterior to level of setae g2. Setae ag1 and ag2 subequal in length. Coxal fields I–IV punctate. Setae 3c 1.6 times longer than 3b. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” with 6 tines. Setae tc’III–IV and tc”III–IV subequal in length. Lengths of setae: vi 25, ve 40, si 40, se 110, c1 120, c2 125, d1 20, d2 35, e2 20, f2 25, h2 135, ag1 75, ag2 75, 3b 35, 3c 55, tc’III–IV 40, tc”III–IV 45, l’RIII 35.
Type material examined. Stachyris pyrrhops Blyth ( Passeriformes : Timaliidae ); 3 female and 1 male paratypes ( AVB 05–0714 – 001 ); NEPAL, Thirkhedhunga , 19 August 2000, coll. S.V. Mironov.
Type material deposition. All material deposited in the ZISP except 3 female paratypes in the AMU .
Host range and habitat. Monoxenous species from quills of Stachyris pyrrhops.
Distribution. Nepal.
