Type host: Motacilla flava Linnaeus ( Passeriformes : Motacillidae ). Type locality: Russia.

FEMALE (5 paratypes). Total body length 735–820. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum and stylophore punctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 4 chambers, each lateral branch with 6 chambers. Length of stylophore and movable cheliceral digit 150–165 and 120–125 respectively. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield densely punctate. Length ratio of setae vi: ve: si 1:1.2–1.5:3. All dorsal idiosomal setae thick and discernibly ornamented. Hysteronotal shield fused to pygidial shield, weakly discernible, striae visible, anterior and posterior part of this fused shield densely punctate. Setae f1 and h1 subequal in length. Both pairs of genital setae subequal in length. Genital plate well sclerotized, setae ag2 and ag3 situated on margin of this plate. Length ratio of setae ag1: ag2: ag3 1:1:1.6–1.7. Coxal fields I–IV densely punctate. Setae 3c twice as long as 3b. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 6– 7 tines. Setae tc”III–IV twice as long as tc’III–IV. Lengths of setae: vi 40–50, ve 50–55, si 120–130, se 170–190, c1 180–190, c2 165–180, d1 160–185, d2 160–175, e2 160–175, f2 190–215, h2 300–340, f1 and h1 20, ps1 15–20, g1 and g2 20, ag1 100–125, ag2 100–115, ag3 170–180, 3b 30–35, 3c 70–75, tc’III–IV 35–45, tc”III–IV 70–75, l’RIII 40–50.

MALE. Unknown.

Type material examined. Motacilla flava Linnaeus ( Passeriformes : Motacillidae ): paratypes: 5 females, 1 nymph ( AVB 05–0715–041); RUSSIA, Kaliningrad, Kurish spit, Rybachiy village (55°09'15"N, 20°51'14"E), 4 June 1958, coll V. Jugis .

Type material deposition. Holotype deposited in the ZISP, paratypes in the ZISP and AMU.

Non-type material examined. Same host species: 4 females ( AMU –SYR.87) (sec.); POLAND, Gornoslaskie , Kulow near Glogow, 19 May 2000, coll. M. Skoracki. Material deposited in the AMU .

Host range and habitat. The species inhabiting quills of secondary feathers of Motacilla flava .

Distribution. Poland and Russia.
