Type host: Phylloscopus collybita (Vieillot) ( Passeriformes : Sylviidae ). Type locality: France.
FEMALE (2 paratypes). Total body length 700–745. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum punctate. Stylophore apunctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 6–8 chambers, each lateral branch with 9–12 chambers. Stylophore constricted posteriorly, 180–190 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield concave on anterior and posterior margins, sparsely punctate near bases of setae vi, ve and si. Bases of setae vi, ve, si and c1 located on propodonotal shield, setae se situated on or near this shield. Length ratio of setae vi:ve:si 1:1:1. Setae c1 and se situated at same transverse level. Entire and weakly sclerotized hysteronotal shield, not fused to pygidial shield, situated near bases of setae d1 and e2, apunctate. Pygidial shield well developed, apunctate. Length ratios of setae f1:f2 1:2.2, h1:h2 1:1. Length ratio of setae g2:g1:ag1 2:1:3. Setae ag1 and ag3 subequal in length. Coxal fields I–IV punctate. Setae 3b half length of 3c. Legs. Setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 12–15 tines. Setae tc”III–IV 1.5–1.7 times longer than tc’III–IV. Lengths of setae: vi 25–30, ve 30–35, si 30–35, se 210–215, c1 190–210, c2 200–210, d1 180–215, d2 200, e2 190–220, h1 300–305, h2 290–330, f1 100–125, f2 275, ps1 and ps2 30–35, g1 40–45, g2 70–90, 1a 90– 110, 3a 70–110, ag1 105–135, ag2 140, ag3 95, l’RIII 25–40, l’RIV 25–30, tc’III–IV 40–50, tc”III–IV 65–75, 3b 35–45, 3c 80–90.
MALE (1 specimen from type host species from Poland). Total body length 530. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum punctate. Hypostomal apex with 1 pair of small protuberances. Each medial branch of peritremes with 4–6 chambers, each lateral branch with 9–10 chambers. Stylophore apunctate, 145 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield entire, weakly sclerotized, sparsely punctate, concave on anterior margin, bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si, se and c1. Setae vi, ve and si subequal in length. Setae se and c1 located at same transverse level. Hysteronotal shield entire, not fused to pygidial shield, bearing bases of setae d1 and e2, apunctate. Setae d2 2.8 times longer than d1 and e2. Setae h2 7 times longer than f2. Pygidial shield well sclerotized, apunctate. Both aggenital setae ag1 and ag2 subequal in length. Coxal fields I–IV punctate. Seate 3c about twice as long as 3b. Legs. Setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 6–7 tines. Setae tc”III–IV 1.4 times longer than tc’III–IV. Lengths of setae: vi 20, ve 20, si 25, se 95, c1 95, c2 95, d1 20, d2 55, e2 25, h2 175, f2 25, 1a 55, 3a 40, ag1 45, ag2 45, tc’III–IV 30, tc”III–IV 45, 3b 20, 3c 45.
Type material examined. Phylloscopus collybita (Vieillot) ( Passeriformes : Sylviidae ): 2 female paratypes ( AVB 05–0718 – 002 ); FRANCE , Brittany, Ille-et-Vilaine, St. Malo (48 39’00”N, 02 00’00”W), 1 April 1974, coll. J.Cl. Beaucournu.

Host range and habitat. Oligoxenous species inhabiting quills of primary and secondary feathers of Phylloscopus collybita and Ph. trochilus .
Distribution. France, Poland and Slovakia.

Type host: Troglodytes troglodytes (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Troglodytidae ). Type locality: Germany.
FEMALE (10 specimens from type host species from Poland). Total body length 660–685. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum sparsely punctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 4–5 chambers, each lateral branch with 8–9 chambers. Stylophore 175–180 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield divided longitudinally, apunctate, bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si and c1, setae se situated on or near this shield. Length ratio of setae vi:ve:si 1:1:1. Setae c1 and se located at same transverse level. Two small and weakly sclerotized hysteronotal shields situated near bases of setae d1. Pygidial shield well developed, apunctate. Length ratios of setae f1:f2 1:4, h1:h2 1:1.2–1.3. Genital setae g2 1.5–2 times longer than g1 and 2.4 times shorter than ag1. Setae ag1 and ag3 1.7–1.8 times longer than ag2. Coxal fields I–IV densely punctate. Setae 3b half length of 3c. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 8–9 tines. Setae tc”III–IV 1.5 times longer than tc’III–IV. Non-type material examined. Troglodytes troglodytes (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Troglodytidae ): 28 females, 36 nymphs, 4 larvae ( AMU –SYR.2) (sec.); POLAND, Pomorskie, Kuznica-Hel , 12 April 1999, coll. M. Skoracki. Material deposited in the AMU, ZSM and ZISP .
Host range and habitat. Oligoxenous species associated with birds of the genus Troglodytes . In the Palaearctic region inhabiting quills of secondary feathers of T. troglodytes . This species was also recorded from T. aedon in Canada ( Bochkov & Galloway 2001).
Distribution. Palaearctic: Germany and Poland.

FEMALE (2 paratypes). Total body length 630–675. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum punctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 3–5 chambers, each lateral branch with 7–8 chambers. Stylophore apunctate, 185–190 long. Movable cheliceral digit 125 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield divided longitudinally, sparsely punctate near bases of setae vi, ve and si. Bases of setae vi, ve, si and c1 located on propodonotal shield, setae se situated on or near this shield. Length ratio of setae vi:ve:si 1:1:1. Setae c1 and se located at same transverse level. Hysteronotal shield fused to pygidial shield, sparsely punctate on posterior part. Length ratios of setae f1:f2 1:2, h1:h2 1:1. Genital setae g2 about twice as long as g1 and about half length of ag1. Setae ag3 slightly (1.1–1.2 times) longer than ag1. Coxal fields I–IV densely punctate. Setae 3b half length of 3c. Legs. Setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 5–7 tines. Setae tc”III–IV not significantly (1.1 times) longer than tc’III–IV. Each medial branch of peritremes with 3–4 chambers, each lateral branch with 7–8 chambers. Stylophore apunctate, 145 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield weakly sclerotized, apunctate, deeply concave on anterior margin, bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si, se and c1. Setae vi, ve and si subequal in length. Setae se situated anterior to level of setae c1. Hysteronotal shield not fused to pygidial shield, divided longitudinally, apunctate. Setae d2 1.5 times longer than d1 and e2. Pygidial shield apunctate. Setae h2 5.4–6 times longer than f2. Both aggenital setae ag1 and ag2 subequal in length. Pseudanal setae ps1 half as long as ps2. Coxal fields I–IV punctate. Setae 3c about twice as long as 3b. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 5–6 tines. Setae tc”III–IV slightly (1.2 times) longer than tc’III–IV. Lengths of setae: vi 20; ve 20; si 20; se 65; c1 125; d1 20; d2 30–35; e2 20; h2 135–150; f2 20–25; 1a 70; 3a 50; ag1 60–65; ag2 55–65; tc’III–IV 25; tc”III–IV 35; 3b 20; 3c 40–45.
