Type host: Sylvia borin (Boddaert) ( Passeriformes : Sylviidae ). Type locality: Russia.
FEMALE (4 paratypes). Total body length 1060–1160. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum and stylophore apunctate. Hypostomal apex with one pair of short protuberances. Each medial branch of peritremes with 3–4 chambers, each lateral branch with 10 chambers. Length of stylophore and movable cheliceral digit 225–230 and 160–170 respectively. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield deeply concave on anterior margin, sculptured and punctate near bases of setae ve and si, bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si and c1. Length ratio of setae vi:ve:si 1:2:3. Setae se located slightly anterior to level of bases c1. Two small, oval and apunctate hysteronotal shields present. Pygidial shield mall, weakly sclerotized, apunctate. Setae f1, f2, h1 and h2 subequal in length. Setae ag3 insignificantly (1.1–1.2 times) longer than ag1 and ag2. Genital setae and setae ag1 and ag2 subequal in length. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 12 tines. Setae tc’ and tc” of legs III and IV subequal in length. Setae 3c 1.3–1.4 times longer than 3b. Coxal fields I–IV sparsely punctate. Apodemes I fused to apodemes II in anterior part of apodemes II. Lengths of setae: vi 90–105, ve 180–200, si 285–300, se 300–360, c1 335–360, c2 260–315, d1 340–360, d2 300– 340, e2 315–350, f1 300–335, f2 410, h1 300–370, h2 330–380, ps1 and ps2 40–45, g1 110–140, g2 135–170, ag1 145–180, ag2 145–155, ag3 180–200, l’RIII and l’RIV 60, tc’III–IV 60–70, tc”III–IV 65–75, 3b 90–105, 3c 130– 140.
MALE (2 paratypes). Total body length 755–845. Gnathosoma . Hypostomal apex smooth. Each medial branch of peritremes with 3–4 chambers, each lateral branch with 9–10 chambers. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield laterally punctate, deeply concave on anterior margin, bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si and c1. Length ratio of setae vi:ve:si 1:1.4–1.5:3–3.5. Hysteronotal shield fused to pygidial shield, lightly sculptured and apunctate. Setae d1, d2 and e2 subequal in length. Setae h2 about 5 times longer than f2. Coxal fields I–IV sparsely punctate. Setae 3c 1.6 times longer than 3b. Legs. Fan-like seta p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 7 tines. Setae tc’ and tc” of legs III and IV subequal in length. Lengths of setae: vi 50–55, ve 65–70, si 155–200, se 185–240, c1 160–205, c2 200–225, d1 25–40, d2 30–50, e2 30 –40, h2 150–200, f2 35–50, l’RIII 40–45, l’RIV 40, tc’III–IV 45–55, tc”III–IV 55–60, 3b 45–50, 3c 75–85.
Type material examined. Sylvia borin (Boddaert) ( Passeriformes : Sylviidae ): 4 female paratypes and 2 male paratypes; RUSSIA, Novogrod , 29 July 1998, coll. A.V. Bochkov.

Non-type material examined. Type host species: 1 female, 1 nymph and 1 larva ( AMU –SYR.250A) (sec.); POLAND, Zachodniopomorskie, Miedzyodrze , 4 August 2007, coll. G. Kiljan. Material deposited in the AMU . Same host species: 2 females, 6 nymphs, 1 larva ( AMU –SYR.250B) (sec.); TURKEY, Yukari, Ciyrikli , 7 May 2007, coll. A. Badek. Material deposited in the AMU .
Host range and habitat. Monoxenous species inhabiting quills of secondary feathers of Sylvia borin .
Distribution. Poland, Russia, and Turkey.
