Type host: Motacilla alba ( Passeriformes : Motacillidae ). Type locality: Poland.
FEMALE (holotype and 2 paratypes). Total body length 465–470. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum sparsely punctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 2 chambers, each lateral branch with 4–5 chambers. Stylophore apunctate, 120 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield weakly sclerotized, punctate on whole surface, bearing bases of setae ve, si, c1 and se. Setae ve and si subequal in length. The setae c1 1.2 times longer than se, both setae situated at same transverse level. Length ratio of setae d2:c1 1:1.3. Hysteronotal shield well sclerotized, fused to pygidial shield, apunctate. Setae f2 about 4 times longer than f1. Setae h2 about 3 times longer than f2. Length ratio of setae ag1: ag2: ag3 1.3–1.5:1:2. Genital plate absent. Both pairs of genital setae subequal in length. All coxal fields punctate. Setae 3c about twice as long as 3b. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 6–8 tines. Setae tc’ and tc” of tarsi III and IV subequal in length or setae tc” not significantly longer (1.1–1.2 times) than tc’. Lengths of setae: ve 15–20, si 20, se 125, c1 140–150, c2 115–130, d1 30, d2 105–120, e2 20, h1 20, h2 225–245, f1 20–30, f2 75–80, ps1 15–20, g1 25–30, g2 25, ag1 65–70, ag2 50–55, ag3 95–105, tc’III–IV 35, tc“III–IV 35–40, 3b 15– 20, 3c 40.
MALE (1 paratype). Total body length 320. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum punctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 2 chambers, each lateral branch with 4 chambers. Stylophore apunctate, 90 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield weakly sclerotized, striae visible, apunctate, bearing bases of setae ve, si and c1. Hysteronotal and pygidial shields absent. Setae d2 and e2 subequal in length. Setae h2 3 times longer than f2. Genital setae g1 situated anterior to level of setae g2. Aggenital setae ag1 and ag2 subequal in length. Coxal fields I–IV sparsely punctate. Setae 3c twice as long as 3b. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 5 tines. Lengths of setae: ve 10, si 10, se 25, c1 23, d2 13, e2 10, f2 10, h2 30, agl 20, ag2 20, 3b 10, 3c 20.
Type material examined. Motacilla alba (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Motacillidae ): female holotype and paratypes: 2 females, 1 male, 2 nymphs ( AMU –SYR.34) (bod.); POLAND, Zachodniopomorskie, near Swinoujscie , July 2001, coll. G. Kiljan.
Type material deposition. All material deposited in the AMU .
Host range and habitat. Monoxenous species inhabiting body feathers of Motacilla alba .
Distribution. Poland.
