Type host: Phasianus colchicus Linnaeus ( Galliformes : Phasianidae ). Type locality: Kirghizia.
This species was unavaiable for present studies and diagnosis of this species is provided based on the original description ( Chirov & Kravtsova 1995).
FEMALE. Total body length 693. Gnathosoma . Hypostomal apex with pair of blunt-ended protuberances. Each medial branch of peritremes with 3 chambers, each lateral branch with 6 chambers. Stylophore 199 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield slightly concave on anterior and posterior margins, apunctate, bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si, se and c1. Length ratio of setae vi:ve:si 1:1.3:1.4. Setae c1 situated anteriorly to level of setae se. Setae c1 slightly (1.2 times) longer than se. Hysteronotal shield well developed, bearing bases of setae d1 and terminal setae, anterior margin reaching level of setae d2. Length ratio of setae d2: d1: e2 1:1.6:1.9. Setae f1 and h1 short and subequal in length. Setae h2 1.5 times longer than f2. Aggenital setae ag2 slightly (1.2 times) longer than ag1. Genital setae g1 1.5 times longer than g2. Pseudanal setae subequal in length. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 10–12 tines. Lengths of setae: vi 73, ve 98, si 104, se 170, c1 207, c2 205, d1 120, d2 76, e2 145, f1 33, f2 238, h1 27, h2 354, ag1 137, ag2 164, ps1 and ps2 20, g1 41, g2 27.
MALE. Total body length 596. Gnathosoma . Each medial branch of peritremes with 3 chambers, each lateral branch with 6 chambers. Stylophore constricted posteriorly, 175 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield rectangular in shape, bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si, se and c1. Length ratio of setae vi:ve 1:1.2. Setae se situated anterior to level of setae c1. Hysteronotal shield fused to pygidial shield, anterior margin reaching level of setae d2, bearing bases of setae d1, e2, f and h. Length ratio of setae d2: d1: e2 1:1.2:2. Setae h2 4.6 times longer than f2. Setae ag1 longer than ag2. Setae 3c 1.4 times longer than 3b. Legs. Fan-like seta p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 6–9 tines. Setae tc’ and tc” of legs III and IV subequal in length. Lengths of setae: vi 110, ve 130, se 156, c1 137, c2 178, d1 27, d2 33, e2 16, f2 27, h2 123, 1a 74, 1b 33, 3a 55, 3b 41, 3c 55.
Type material (not examined). All type material of this species is lost (A.V. Bochkov ( ZISP) pers. comm.) .
Host range and habitat. Monoxenous species inhabiting quills of Phasianus colchicus .
Distribution. Kirghizia.
