Semanotus Mulsant, 1839 View in CoL View at ENA
The genus is represented in Turkey by only one species, Semanotus russicus (Fabricius, 1777) . This species, which was described from Russia, has been reported only by Adlbauer (1992) from an exact locality in S Turkey (Antalya province: Elmalı). Apart from this, the presence of the species in Turkey has been noted by Danilevsky and Miroshnikov (1985), Sama and Rapuzzi (2000), and Sama (2002) without exact locality data. With the specimens noted in the present text, the presence of the species in Turkey is confirmed.
