Pitnus (Pitnus) antillanus Bellés 1992: 183 ; Schiller 2004: 12, first Guadeloupe record; Valentine and Ivie 2005: 277. Distribution. Guadeloupe, Guana, Mona, Puerto Rico, St. Croix, St. Kitts; widespread Antilles endemic. Notes. West Indian Pitnus spp. are leaf miners ( Philips et al. 1998), commonly in Tournefortia gnaphalodes View in CoL (L.) R. Brown (sea lavender).
