2. Kalanchoe × kewensis Brown (1902a [14 June]: 387) ,
non K. × kewensis Watson (1902 [24 May]: 338–339).
Type:— GREAT BRITAIN. Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, ex hort., June 1902, N.E. Brown s.n., (lectotype, a twopreparation specimen, K barcode K000838472 [image available at http://specimens.kew.org/herbarium/K000838472]! and K barcode K000838473 [image available at and http://specimens.kew.org/herbarium/K000838473]!), designated by Smith (2023c: 277).
Taxonomic notes:—The name K. × kewensis Brown (1902a [14 June]: 387) is an illegitimate later homonym of K. × kewensis Watson (1902 [24 May]: 338–339) ( Fig. 1C View FIGURE 1 ) ( Turland et al. 2018: Art. 53.1, Rec. 50C.1). Thiselton-Dyer (1903), Smith & Shtein (2021), Heijnsdijk (2022), Smith (2022a), and Smith (2023c: 277–279) provide additional information on this nothospecies that was created in cultivation at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Kalanchoe × kewensis has been available near-globally in the horticultural trade for more than 120 years.
Nomenclatural notes:—The typification of the name K. × kewensis was dealt with comprehensively elsewhere ( Smith 2023c: 277).
