Comments: This species has originally been described as a subspecies of N. aberrans ( Günther, 1953) but re-examination has shown the ♂♂ of emiri to exhibit more than prolific features for regarding it as a separate species. Hence, it is here raised to species status (n. stat.). It is here selected as the type-species of the newly described genus Neomyronides n. gen. because it is the only species of that genus, which is known from both sexes and the eggs.
