Possesses activity of β -galactosidase, but not arginine dihydrolase or urease. Does not assimilate glucose, arabinose, mannose, mannitol, maltose, N- acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, or phenylacetic acid. Strain 18N1A7 (= NIBRBAC000502551) was isolated from around the river soil, Hwachon-gun, Korea. The GenBank accession number for the 16S rRNA gene sequence is MK129297.
