Material examined. Holotype, Ψ, Mt. Wudang, Hubei Province (110°79΄E, 32°65΄N), 0 7. 0 7. 1982, collector name is missing [but known to be Jigang Jiang].

Distribution. China (Hubei).

Etymology. The specific epithet, an adjective, is dedicated to the collector Jigang Jiang.

Description. Female (figs. 7, 8): Body length 9.5 mm. Black, yellow white are: labrum except minute medial dark brown spot, lateral margin of clypeus, face below antennal socket, lower of inner orbits continuously with inner part of lower hind orbit, narrow upper of inner orbit continues with a oblique spot on temple, ventral sides of scape and pedicel, top of mesoscutellum, metascutellum, hind part of metepimeron, deflexed lateral side of tergite 1, basal parts of deflexed lateral margins of tergites 2 and 3, posterior margin of tergite 10; black brown are: outer part of lower hind orbit, base and outer margin of pronotum, tegulae, appendage; dark brown are: clypeus, deflexed lateral sides of tergites 2, 3 and 6, posterolateral sides of tergites 7–9, most of tergite 10; red brown are: tergites 4 and 5 continued onto base of tergite 6, sternites 4 and 5, valvula 3. Four front coxae black, trochanters yellow white, inner and outer sides with dark brown spot, femora and tibiae red brown, outer side on apical 2/5 of femora with dark brown spot, tarsi yellow brown; hind legs red brown, metacoxa and apical 1/6 of metatibia black, inner apex of metafemur with black spot, metatrochanter, apex of hind tarsomere 1 and following tarsomeres yellow white. Wings hyaline; costa and subcosta pale brown, stigma and other veins black brown.

Labrum large and with truncated anterior margin; clypeus truncately incised up to 1/3 of its medial length, lateral lobes acute; malar space wider than diameter of median ocellus; lower part of inner orbits slightly elevated, inner margins of eyes convergent downwards; supra-antennal tubercles indistinct; frontal area slightly elevated, distinctly below level of eyes in lateral view, frontal ridges blunt and indistinct; median fovea ditch-like, not reaching median ocellus, antennal furrow ditch-like, anterior part a little deep, apical part shallow; interocellar and postocellar furrows broad and shallow; postocellar area slightly elevated, relative width: length = 1.55, lateral postocellar furrow shallow; head distinctly narrowed behind eyes. Mesoscutellum bluntly elevated, top with shallow and broad middle furrow; middle carina of appendage bluntly elevated. Hind tarsomere 1 longer than combined length of following 4 tarsomeres. Front wing with middle petiole of anal cell slightly longer than 1/2 of basal anal cell, longer than vein R+M = 1.25; petiole of anal cell on hind wing present and longer than half of vein cu-a.

Punctures on labrum minute; those on clypeus large and shallow; dorsal part of head with large, dense and coarse punctures, interspaces with distinct oily luster and microsculpture; punctures on mesonotum dense and a little large, interspaces polished, shiny; upper part of mesepisternum with large, coarse and dense punctures, on lower part dense and a little smaller, interspaces with distinct oily luster; meseanepimeron distinctly sculptured, punctures scattered, shiny, mesekatepimeron with large and shallow punctures, microsculpture dense, distinctly shiny; punctures on metepisternum dense, surface with dense microsculpture, shiny, punctures on metepimeron large, shallow and scattered, interspaces polished, strongly shiny; central part of mesoscutellum polished, punctures indistinct, lateral sides with shallow and scattered punctures, shiny; appendages densely sculptured, shiny; punctures on lateral side of tergites minute, shallow and scattered, those on central part indistinct, interspaces with distinct microsculpture and oily luster; punctures on outer side of hind coxa large, dense and coarse.

Ovipositor sheath distinctly shorter than hind tarsomere 1 = 0.64 in lateral view, valvula 3 round at apex and longer than valvifer 2 = 1.14. Lancet with 16 annuli (fig. 36), middle serrula with 2 anterior and 11–12 posterior sub-basal teeth (fig 48).

Male. unknown.

Discussion. The species is characterized by: dorsal part of head and upper part of mesepisternum with large, coarse and dense punctures, mesoscutellum bluntly elevated, top with shallow and broad medial furrow. In the indica group these characters are unique to this species.
