Distribution. Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Israel.

Remarks. First record for Israel. The examined specimen was previously identified as P. varicoloreus (see discussion under that species).

An informal record published on the web ( Ringenbach 2006), documented by the photograph of the specimen (a male, black form, from Sabratah, 06.V.2005, leg. P. Weill) should be added to the first records for Libya provided by Král (2012) and to those mentioned in the present paper.
