Miscogaster fulgens Delucchi (Pteromalidae) View in CoL
Miscogaster fulgens Delucchi, 1953a: 214 View in CoL . Lectotype m, Germany: Bayern, Mindelheim , here designated (VD [examined]).
Material. LECTOTYPE m (mp, left antenna lacking) labelled`649; LAMPROTATUS [sic] fulgens n. V. Delucchi det.; ex Agromyza reptans FALL. V. Delucchi leg.; MINDELHEIM 10.V.52 (D); sur URTICA; TYPE [red]’. One slide (sc) labelled`12; MISCOGASTER [black underlined] fulgens [red underlined] antenna m; M. fulgens n. Antenna m [pasted over by former label]’ with left antenna of lectotype.
PARALECTOTYPES, VD: 1 l(mp) labelled`650; LAMPROTATUS [sic] fulgens n. V. Delucchi det.; ex Agromyza reptans FALL. V. Delucchi leg.; TYPE [red] ’.
Remarks. Delucchi described both sexes and stated` Type in meiner Sammlung.’ but did not specify the number of specimens he had.
Examination of the type series of fulgens and Miscogaster ru W pes Walker as well as 23 females and 25 males from England, Hungary, Italy, Sweden, and Switzerland ( BMNH, MZL, NMBE, VD) con®rmed the synonymy as discussed by Graham (1969: 230). There are diOEerent colour forms which run to ru W pes in Graham’s key (1969: 227, 228). Some specimens have the base of the mandibles strongly darkened, others have them completely pale (e.g. type series of fulgens ) but intermediates also occur (e.g. lectotype of ru W pes). Both forms were occasionally caught together, for instance two females from England, Middlesex, Southgate, 24 September 1968, leg. M. W. R. d. V. Graham ( NMBE) .
Status. Junior synonym of Miscogaster ru W pes Walker syn. n.
