Seladerma violaceum Delucchi (Pteromalidae) View in CoL
Seladerma violaceum Delucchi, 1955a: 47 View in CoL , 49. Holotype m, Germany (NMW [examined]).
Material. HOLOTYPE m (mp, right ¯agellum, left hind wing, and right wings lacking, right hind leg and metasoma glued beside body on pith block) labelled`p. 439. 71. Or. Ex.. l; [empty label]; Collect. G. Mayr; Lamp. subviolaceus FoÈrster , Type; SELADERMA violaceum n. V. Delucchi det.; TYPE [red]’ (metanotum, propodeum, and metasoma illustrated, 1955a: 48, ®gure 56).
Remarks. Delucchi described the female and stated`Type deÂpose au MuseÂum d’Histoire Naturelle de Vienne’ but did not specify the number of specimens he had. The holotype is a specimen from the FoÈrster collection. Delucchi’s ®gure (see above) shows the gaster evenly symmetric whereas it is actually quite strongly shrivelled and deformed. According to Delucchi (pers. comm.) the outer form of a specimen has always been mirrored and made even, hence there is little doubt that the ®gure originates from the holotype.
The holotype is a slightly aberrant specimen of Seladerma laetum Walker.
Status. Junior synonym of Seladerma laetum Walker syn. n.
