Iridothrips zizaniophila (Han & Zhang) View in CoL comb.n.
( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 2–12 )
Frankliniella zizaniophila Han & Zhang, 1982: 210 View in CoL .
Mirab-balou et al. (2014) recorded this species in China from aquatic Poaceae View in CoL , including Zizania caduciflora View in CoL and Oryza rufipogon View in CoL . These authors also suggested that zizaniophila View in CoL might better be placed in a new genus. According to the analysis presented above, this species is sister-group to the other four species in Iridothrips View in CoL . It is unique in having two pairs of pronotal posteromarginal setae and postocular setae pair I and pair II usually absent.
Material examined. CHINA, Guangdong, Guangzhou, Sanyuanli , 1 female from Zizania latifolia , 17.x.1979, Kuang Mingzhen (in ANIC). Materials recorded by Mirab-balou et al. (2014) in SCAU .
