Description of Brachybacterium alimentarium View in CoL G56
Cells are aerobic, Gramstainingpositive, nonflagellated and coccoid or ovoid. Colonies are circular, smooth, glistening and yellow colored after incubation for 3 days on R2 A agar at 25℃. In GoogleMaps the API 20NE system, positive reaction for urease activity, hydrolysis of esculin, β-galactosidase activity and utilization of D-glucose, L-arabinose, Dmannose, Dmannitol, N acetylglucosamine, Dmaltose and potassium gluconate. In the API 20NE system, negative reaction for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, hydrolysis of gelatin, oxidase activity and utilization of capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain G56 (= NIBRBAC000503405) was isolated from ginsengcultivated soil in Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk Province, Korea (36°53′51.5″N 128°28′02.3″E).
