Type material. Holotype PIN 5386 View Materials /1±, forewing.

Etymology. Named in honour of late geologist and palaeobotanist Victor E. Sivchikov, who made a great contribution to the upper Paleozoic stratigraphy of Siberia and particularly of the Minusinsk Basin.

Diagnosis. SC without apical fork, ending at C at level of RS 1 fork, with three subcostal crossveins; subcostal space narrow with no visible crossveins.

Locality and horizon. Izykh Coal Mines, quarry no.1, south of Belyi Yar, Khakassia, Minusinsk Coal Basin, South Siberia; Izykh Formation, Middle Permian.

Description. Wing ovate (L:W ratio 1:2.5), slightly broadened at 2/3 of wing length, maximal width at level of M 4 apex. Anterior margin slightly convex, apex at RS 3 –RS 4. SC reaching deep into pterostigmal area, meeting wing margin without apical fork; with three short subcostal crossveins. Subcostal space half as wide as costal space, with no visible crossveins except for pterostigmal one. Pterostigma not preserved. R nearly straight, only slightly curved apically, without pterostigmal branches. RS forking well before middle of wing, with six branches reaching wing margin; fork on RS 2 very short. Cell DC closed by crossvein rs 2 –rs 3 located nearly at level of RS 1 fork. Cell MC closed. M five-branched. Base of CuA long, strongly oblique, M 5 much shorter. Anal veins forming double-Y loop typical for the genus, free distal portion of A 2 distinct. Crossveins in cubito-anal area quite distinct, but in distal wing half mostly faint and can be traced only by subtle breaks at longitudinal veins. There are r–rs 1 a, rs 2 –rs 3; two crossveins in RS–M space; m 2 –m 3; long m 3+4 –cua and possibly additional crossvein m 4 –cua 1; strong transverse cua–cup located distal to apex of A 2; cup–a 1, and a 1 –a 2.

Measurements. Forewing length, 4.35 mm, width, 1.7 mm.
