Beschreibung Glänzend, schwarz, Elytren entweder ganz schwarz (HT) oder schwarz mit nur einer rötlichgelben Subhumeralmakel (PT aus Guyana) oder mit Subhumeralmakel plus hinterer Nahtmakel, die sich schmal zum Seitenrand hin erstreckt, und mit zwei kurzen Punktreihen; Paratergite aufgehellt. Fühler und Beine rötlichgelb, Fühlerkeule wenig dunkler.

Länge: 2,5-3,0mm (Vorderkörperlänge: 1,5-1,7mm).

PM des HT: HW: 36; DE: 19, 5; PW: 24; PL: 24; EW: 35: EL: 29; SL: 25.

Männchen: 11. Fühlerglied 3,4x so lang und 1,2x so breit wie das 10. Glied. 10. Tergit mässig grob und ziemlich dicht auf fein punktuliertem Grund punktiert. Aedoeagus mit auffallend breiten, ungleichen Parameren ( Abb. 224 View Abb ).

Weibchen: 11. Fühlerglied 2,6x so lang und 1,2x so breit wie das 10. Glied. In der Abdomenspitze mehrere stärker sklerotisierte Elemente ( Abb. 16 View Abb ).

Elytrenpunktierung: 1+1, 2/2, 1+1; 3, 2/2, 2; 1+1, 1/1, 2; 1(1)2/1(2)2; 1+1, 2/3, 1+1.

Bemerkung Ob die zusammen mit demHT erbeuteten Weibchen, deren Elytren je zwei Aufhellungen besitzen, vielleicht zu einer anderen Art gehören, kann erst neues Material entscheiden.

Etymologie: Wegen ihrer breiten Parameren nenne ich diese Art "amplistilus" (Lat. = mit breiten Parameren).
