Rhodostrophia tristrigalis Butler, 1889 View in CoL , Illust. typical Specimens Lepid. Heterocera Colln Br. Mus., 7: 22, 110, pl. 137, fig. 1. Syntypes ♁, ♀, India: Kangra district, Dharmsala (NHM).
Diagnosis. The species can be distinguished by the following characters: the antennal flagellum is dentate ventrally; the male hind tibia contains three spurs; the apex of the forewing is acute; the outer margin of the forewing is straight; the transverse lines on the forewing are parallel to the outer margin; in the male genitalia, the apex of the costa of the valva is rounded and separated from the valva; the terminal one third of the valva is rod-like and dilated centrally without spines; a small rounded process is present on the apex of the ventral margin of the sacculus; the posterior part of the aedeagus is covered with teeth; the cornutus is absent. Females not available.
