Pholidota aidiolepis Seidenf. & de Vogel, Opera Bot. View in CoL 89: 106, 1986

Homotypic synonym: Coelogyne aidiolepis (Seidenf. & de Vogel) R.Rice, Photo Intro Asian Bulbophyllum Coelogyne Dendrobium Orchids : 170, 2019.

Specimen examined:— KACHIN. Putao District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 96) .

Distribution:— Northern Myanmar, Peninsular Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia.

Note:— At the time of De Vogel’s revision of the genus (1988: 51), this species was only known from the type collection in Peninsular Thailand. Presumably based on more recent collections, the species was reported to occur also in Peninsular Malaysia by Pedersen et al. (2014: 594), although this was not verified in other recent publications on Malaysian orchids ( Seidenfaden & Wood 1992, Ong et al. 2017). Confirmation of the record for northern Myanmar is needed.
