Pinalia cf. bipunctata (Lindl.) Kuntze, Revis. View in CoL Gen . Pl. 2: 679, 1891

Basionym: Eria bipunctata Lindl. View in CoL , Edwards’s Bot. Reg. 27 (Misc.): 83, 1841.

Specimen examined:— SHAN. Taunggyi District : fide Nyan Tun (2014: 265) .

Distribution:—?Eastern Myanmar and western Malesia.

Notes:— Study of material of true P.bipunctata and Eria eberhardtii Gagnep. (reduced to synonymy by Seidenfaden 1982: 123) show that these taxa are distinct. Pinalia species are often similar, thus requiring careful studies to separate the taxa. We are not entirely certain to which species Nyan Tun’s record belongs.
